rotten egg smell, very turbid and smelly.
Noted, thanks - most likely due to recent flow and turbulence which has mobilised upstream anoxic sediments that may have been sitting in the bottom of the upper estuary/river for some time. Highlights the importance of annual rainfall and freshwater flushing!
Quite amazing that the salt layer remains this far up the system & at 1.5m depth! It will be very interesting to see how the August results compare, now that we've had another 1 month of rainfall and streamflow.
Thanks Jarred.
