Notes

  • Discharge out around mouth & to east close to shore
  • Reduced flow out only between rock & cliff but waves entering both sides & travelling into estuary
  • Longshore drift actively bringing sand into channel upstream rocks
  • Strong gusts of wind carrying sand into estuary at north end of channel
  • High water level in estuary with wind driven waves 10-20m.
  • Waves have been high up on beach & new high sand cliff formed at mid beach but only gentle slope at mouth
  • Dead Shearwaters 4
