Notes

  • Pale discharge around mouth & to south & West but difficult to see because of waves & foam
  • Waves in all directions at mouth with strong longshore drift & rip. Waves high near shore but calmer out to sea
  • Waves have been high on beach overnight- green veg & Stick Caddis (east side of Channel) along swash line may indicate a strong release from recent rainfall
  • Some small waves entering channel (channel average of about 18m. wide )
  • Large area of the sandbar, south side, & low track exposed
  • White Egret fishing along east side of channel
  • More damage to east side of estuary from recent rough sea
