Notes
- Dark discharge flowing strongly out, around mouth to the east along foreshore. Also to west & out to sea
- Waves entering channel & travelling north & east in estuary
- Ocean beach very wide with higher area at east end
- Severe impact from recent high seas -damage to all dunes & new 1-2m deep channels cut through formerly sand filled rocky areas at east end of beach. Low track much debris & erosion
- Small waves travelling across uncovered sand bar in estuary
- North end of channel where it turns into estuary has sheer sides about 20-40m high
