Notes
- tide times and height predictions are for Lorne.
- estuary was artificially opened to the sea by GORCAPA on the 20/08/2025 at the request of Corangamite CMA in an attempt to improve water quality in the estuary.
- the deepest part of the drainage channel where the river intercepts the sea was 20-30cm of water.
- silver gulls, caspian terns and pacific gulls were seen feeding on the dead fish at the river mouth.
- white flocculant could be seen around the edges of the water line .
- there was signs of estuary water and sea water mixing where the two water bodies intercept each other.
